FARA ASA, the leading supplier of IT solutions to the public transport sector in the Nordic countries, has signed an upgrade and extension of the maintenance agreement with Enfo, our partner serving HSL (Helsinki Region Transport), Finland on maintenance of ticketing software. The agreement is valid from February 2011 and ends in January 2014. Enfo has the option to extend the agreement for a further three years. The total order value for the first three years is approximately NOK 10 million excluding VAT, and is for the maintenance of the existing ticketing software. Helsinki is now in the process of tendering for a new solution for their ticketing, Real Time Information and Traffic Light Priority system. The project scope is to have this fully implemented by the end of 2014. FARA is part of a consortium with Accenture as lead, delivering a full offer for this project. This is an important agreement for FARA and Enfo securing continuity in the existing operations. FARA and Enfo have had a long and positive relationship which has been key to having a satisfied customer. The upgrade and extension starts February 2011.
